As one of the top professional schools in the country, the College of Education trains future educators to bring vision and leadership to the teaching and learning processes in a creative and diverse environment. Undergraduate teacher preparation is a faculty priority; our students average 98 percent on the state certification test, and the College has the highest pass rate of any Texas public institution of higher education. Our graduate programs have received nationwide acclaim, with a Community College Leadership Program that has graduated more presidents and deans of community colleges than any other program in the country.
