"Day Off" Policies

The "Day Off" Policy consists of offering cooperating teachers who supervise apprentice teachers a day off as compensation for their supervision.  The day will occur after the apprentice teacher has finished "Total Teach."  All arrangements for this day will be administered by the local campus.  The day will not affect the supervising teacher's attendance record or cause additional cost to the district.  The apprentice teacher will not be paid for teaching the class that day.

The following school districts currently participate:  Austin ISD, Leander ISD

The following school districts currently do not participate:  Round Rock ISD, Pflugerville ISD
