Our department continues to be ranked amongthe top 10 programs nationally for special education programs. Amongour faculty are nationally and internationally recognized scholars inthe fields as learning disabilities, assistive and instructionaltechnology for students with disabilities, autism and developmentaldisabilities, and multicultural special education.

Offering fiveMaster's (M.A. and M.Ed.) and six Doctoral (Ed.D. and Ph.D.) areas ofspecialization, we are confident that we can assist you in achievingyour personal and professional goals! Studentswho already hold teacher certification in elementary or secondaryeducation may complete requirements for special educationcertification. Additionally the department offers coursework leading toprofessional certification examinations while pursuing a graduatedegree (e.g., Board Certified Behavior Analyst, CertifiedRehabilitation Counselor). Please keep in mind that these optionstypically require additional credit hours beyond degree requirements.
